Scientific conferences CATE that is the acronym for Community – Army – Technology – Environment have turned into a traditional pillar of the specialised associated programme to IDET International Defence and Security Technology.

This year will follow the tradition holding four international conferences under CATE 2015 umbrella at the Brno Exhibition Centre and a workshop in the University of Defence premises on 20 and 21 May. Attended by home and foreign experts meeting to discuss various issues, the family of specialised events form a strong part of scientific conferences system arranged by the Czech armed forces and therefore the leading defence representatives accept the auspices of its parts. The conferences are open to NATO member countries as well as to partner countries. From the expert point of view, CATE is a meeting of military specialists and researchers, university teachers, public administration representatives and defence industry delegates. High expert level of the conference is guaranteed by the University of Defence.

CATE 2015 conferences shall be introduced by the Security Trends opening conference of the expert programme taking place at 14.00 hrs on 19 May in the Rotunda of Pavilion A. Its partners are AFCEA Czech Chapter, Czech Fire and Rescue Corps, Czech Armed Forces’ General Staff, Czech National Security Authority, Czech Republic Police Academy and the University of Defence. The conference shall be opened by the Czech Minister of Defence Martin Stropnický.
